Our 100% leather products are designed and manufactured in South Africa where we have worked hard to find and select the best craftsmen who produce only the finest in luxury leather products. Please note that because all of our monogramming is done by hand, every item is unique and there may be slight variations.
1. Caring for your personalisation
The metallic foil in your monogramming can fade with general wear and tear or if it comes in contact with substances that can react to the composition of the foil, such as perfumes, and other chemicals. Excessive friction can also cause the metallic foil to fade.
If your personalisation is fading with wear and tear, please feel free to return your item to us at Dote Collection, 307 Cedar Lofts, Fourways, Sandton 2191 to be refurbished and re-embossed free of charge.
2. Caring for your Dote leather accessory
We recommend using a soft damp cloth or a natural solvent such as eucalyptus oil to clean any marks on your Dote product but avoid the embossed areas. Should your product get wet, remove any water immediately and pat loosely with a soft cloth or with a paper towel and allow it to dry naturally.
Our leather variations explained
Saffiano leather
Our most popular leather. This calf hide leather is slightly textured in a cross-hatch pattern and then treated with a wax coating. As a result, this leather is pretty much scratch resistant, durable and easy to clean.
A DOTE favorite, most of our products are available in this finish.
Mock-Croc
Made from top quality calf leather with a mock crocodile embossed finish.
Available in our cellphone covers, key-chains, cardholders, classic pouches and circle pouches.
