This policy forms part of Dote Collection Terms and Conditions. Dote Collection are committed to operate the business in compliance with the terms of the Consumer Protection Act and all policies are subject to the applicable law.
Exchange and Refund Policy

Items that have been personalised are not eligible for refunds or replacements, unless deemed faulty. Customers will be responsible for the return shipping and handling charges. Should the product be deemed faulty by our assessment team, our team will then credit the cost of postage back to you. 

If deemed faulty by Dote Collection, a replacement will be issued where possible, this is subject to stock availability. Alternatively, a credit note will be issued., 

There will be no exchange or refunds for individual items purchased in a bundled/combo pack. In such instance, the promotional, free, or bundled items that were part of the purchase must also be returned.

Goods that show a manufacturing defect within the first 7 days of purchase will be repaired, replaced or refunded at no cost to you.

Incorrect order

Should an item be incorrect, please contact info@dote.co.za as soon as reasonably possible to arrange for the earliest convenient collection date. Once returned to the company, the product will undergo an internal assessment, following which, the correct item will be dispatched to you.

Defective or Damaged Goods
Repairs and Warranties

Please contact us by email at info@dote.co.za. Your email to us must disclose the fault in the item along with photographic evidence and must supply proof of purchase. This must be made within 48hrs of the product/s being delivered. If deemed faulty by Dote Collection the client must return the product/s within 7 days of receiving your order. Dote Collection will only offer to replace or refund your order where the item has demonstrated a major fault that cannot be repaired by us and that the damage is due to factory default. No exchanges or refunds will be offered if we deem that the damage to the item was caused in any way by the client.

Customers will be responsible for the return shipping and handling charges. Should the product be deemed faulty by our assessment team, our team will then credit the cost of postage back to you. 

Please note that it may not be possible to determine online/telephonically whether goods have been damaged and/or what the cause of a failure or defect might be. This is important as it determines whether the goods may be repaired, replaced or refunded. Accordingly, Dote Collection reserve the right to refer returned goods for technical assessment by the manufacturer or authorised service centre prior to repairing, replacing or refunding.

Un-returnable Items
  • We do not refund or exchange items that have been personalized unless the item is faulty.
  • There will be no refunds for personalized Sleepwear sets inwhich size was chosen incorrectly by the client.
  • We do not refund or exchange items that contain variations in fabric composition, or colour as these vary from one supplier to the next. 
  • There will be no refunds or exchanges on items that contain a product description that may be misinterpreted by a customer. 
Refunds

Once Dote Collection have assessed a returned item and approved a refund, you will receive your money back in the same manner in which you purchased it from Dote Collection:

  • Electronic transfer directly into your account by the end of the month in which the item was returned.
  • Credit card (by reversal back to your credit card and subject to banking delays)
  • Gift card
Cancellation of an order

Our team will happily refund you for your order if canceled within 24 hours, prior to manufacturing & personalization. A 10% admin / handling fee will be deducted off the amount.

Forgotten to apply a Discount Code:

Regrettably, orders that have already been placed cannot be changed and discounts cannot be added after a purchase is finalized.
